We are a modern high school for ambitious students who seek to forge meaningful careers and attend college with purpose.
The Innovation Fellowship (TIF) is a new, cutting-edge international school in Shibuya that completely reimagines what high school can be. Students have the space and support to discover their passions, design personalized projects, and dive deeply into the work that excites them most.
Guided by world-class faculty, students learn to stay motivated through challenges, develop future-focused skills to thrive in their studies and careers, and create value in the world through entrepreneurial endeavors and civic engagement. Along the way, students receive mentorship from industry experts, pursue internships, conduct research, lead excursions, and receive personalized support to attend the universities that best fit their academic and professional goals.
1. Mission-Driven Project Work
Unlike the one-size-fits-all approach of traditional education, TIF offers a hyper-personalized curriculum tailored to each student’s interests and goals. Through our "Innovator’s Framework" approach to project-based learning, students validate their interests through action and reflection, connecting their passions to real-world opportunities.

2. Experienced Coaches and Industry Mentors
At TIF, students are encouraged to make a real-world impact through their projects. Once students validate their interests, they are paired with industry mentors to design internships and projects in collaboration with leading startups and organizations. This bridge between authentic interest and practical experience empowers students to create meaningful value in society through their education.

3. Interdisciplinary Curriculum
Our curriculum blends project-based, problem-based, and inquiry-based learning, integrating essential concepts and tools from Math, Science, English, and Social Studies while transcending traditional subject boundaries. Built upon three foundational pillars, our curriculum goes beyond Common Core standards, equipping students with vital competencies for life while preparing them for the academic rigor of university study.

4. Comprehensive College Advisory
Our four-year college advisory program helps students gain admission to their best-fit universities worldwide. Starting in Grade 9, students collaborate with certified advisors to identify their priorities, build balanced college lists, and create compelling portfolios that highlight their achievements and character. This comprehensive approach ensures that every student enters the college application process with purpose.

Accreditation
TIF is proud to be a candidate member of the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools Commissions on Elementary and Secondary Schools (MSA-CESS), a globally renowned organization dedicated to advancing excellence in education. With over 3,000 schools accredited in 112 countries, MSA-CESS affirms TIF’s commitment to providing a rigorous, holistic, and globally recognized educational experience.

MSA-CESS accreditation is based on a comprehensive evaluation of the entire school, rather than solely focusing on test scores. Schools are assessed across five key areas known as the Standards for Accreditation:
-
Foundations: Guiding statements ensuring that our mission, core values, and core educational principles are seamlessly integrated into every aspect of the student experience.
-
Governance & Organization: Leadership that demonstrates accountability, transparency, and operational effectiveness.
-
Student Well-Being: Programs and initiatives that nurture intellectual, emotional, and social development.
-
Resources: Effective management of facilities, staffing, and technology to support quality learning experiences.
-
Teaching & Learning: Delivery of student-centered, high-quality instruction that fosters academic excellence and critical thinking.
These rigorous standards ensure that TIF is continually improving and meeting the expectations of a world-class academic institution.
